Laws and regulation
In Cameroon, gambling is permitted at the national level through a system of licenses and concessions; additional conditions can be set by local authorities (for halls, work schedules, advertising).
Lotteries, sports betting and land casinos are legal, subject to valid permits, KYC/AML compliance and responsible gambling rules; the minimum age is 18 +.
The online segment is formally allowed with separate authorization and connection to local payment providers, but practices and control are still developing, so some operators work in a gray zone.
Operators pay licensing fees and taxes on gross gaming income, are required to report and provide player protection tools (limits, self-exclusion, age verification).
Key risks - heterogeneity of enforcement and advertising; the best practice is to work under a national license, synchronizing it with municipal requirements and responsible play standards.
