Gambling activity in Egypt is a narrow "hotel and tourist" niche aimed at foreign guests.

The economic contribution of the industry is concentrated in three channels: (1) the revenue of hotels and casino operators (gaming turnover, rent/royalties, F&B), (2) employment and service contracts (security, cleaning, IT, equipment supplies), (3) tax and licensing payments administered in conjunction with tourist regulation.

The share of the sector in GDP is a fraction of a percent, while the multiplier is sensitive to seasonality and air traffic to the resorts of the Red Sea and Sinai.

Statistics are closed: indicators are aggregated within the hotel business and are not allocated to a separate public online segment.

There is no legal B2C online, so there are no metrics typical for other countries (GGR online, number of accounts, share of mobile payments).

Growth is possible primarily due to tourist flow and upgrade of hotel clusters; the regulatory ban on citizens and the blocking of offshore companies keep the overall scale of the industry limited.
