Laws and regulation
There is no legal gambling market in Eritrea: the state does not issue licenses for casinos, bookmaking, lotteries or online gambling.
The organization and promotion of such services is considered a violation of public order and may entail administrative or criminal liability with confiscation of equipment and blocking of sites.
Online money games are also not allowed; local providers and payment channels are required to prevent relevant transactions.
There are no age permits, advertising rules, KYC/AML and other industry standards in the form of separate gambling legislation, since the basic policy is a complete ban on commercial excitement.
For business and users, this means high legal risks of any "gray" schemes and the lack of legal alternatives in the country.
