Sports and betting
Football is the most popular sport in Eritrea, but it is cycling that is considered the hallmark of the country: street racing and national tournaments attract strong spectators, and the road school is known throughout the region.
Running and marathon distances at amateur level are also popular.
The betting market is poorly developed: there is practically no legal infrastructure, there are no offline points, and access to foreign online platforms is technically and financially limited.
If rates are found, then more often in informal forecasts among fans or through the diaspora.
For brands, this means minimal visibility and high regulatory risk; for players, the focus is on fan culture, not betting.
