Sports and betting

Football is the main sport in Comoros: it is played in schools and domestic leagues, and the diaspora actively watches matches of the national team and European tournaments.

At the mass sports level, athletics, wrestling/martial arts and basketball are noticeable, but the infrastructure is modest and concentrated in the capital districts.

De jure sports betting is not allowed: there are no licensed bookmakers and sweepstakes, and advertising and accepting bets to residents are considered a violation.

Access to offshore sites is technically possible, but devoid of legal protection and carries the risks of blocking payments and accounts.

For operators - strict geoblock and exclusion of Comor from T&C; for users - the absence of legal proposals and consumer protection mechanisms.
