Land-based casinos
The Tunisian model is resort casinos under the individual concession of the state, usually as part of large hotels on the coast (Hammamet, Sousse, Monastir, Djerba, Port el Kantaoui, suburbs of Tunisia).
Entry only for foreigners on passport; Tunisian citizens are not allowed.
The format is 24/7 or extended evening hours, the line of games includes American roulette, blackjack, baccarat, Caribbean/three-card poker tables, and slots and electronic roulettes; for high-limit guests - private rooms.
At the entrance - passport control and age verification, inside - strict security rules, video surveillance, cash desk and exchange services at the hotel.
Casinos are integrated into the tourist infrastructure (restaurants, shows, SPA), remaining a niche service for non-residents and a source of additional revenue for resorts.
