Laws and regulation
Afghanistan has an absolute ban on all forms of gambling in accordance with Sharia law.
Licensing and "white" schemes do not exist: casinos, bookmaking, lotteries, poker and online money games are prohibited.
The authorities suppress underground sites, block sites and payment channels; equipment is confiscated, organizers and promoters are criminally liable.
Age permits and advertising rules do not apply because the activity itself is declared illegal.
The common vector is zero tolerance and increased control both offline and in the digital environment.
