Land-based casinos
In Armenia, casinos are allowed in strictly defined zones, primarily in resort cities (Tsakhkadzor, Jermuk, Sevan, Meghri).
Outside these locations, activities are allowed only in high-category facilities (for example, large hotel and entertainment complexes) when strict capital, area and security requirements are met.
21 + guest identification, video surveillance, cash discipline and KYC/AML procedures are required.
Slot machine halls and betting points are regulated separately and are subject to remote and advertising restrictions.
Advertising of casinos outside their own sites has been significantly cut; for violations, large fines and suspension/revocation of the license are provided.
The policy of the state is to concentrate the offline game in tourist hubs and maintain a high entrance barrier for operators.
