Sports and betting

Azerbaijan is a fan of football (Premier League and national team), the traditions of freestyle wrestling, judo, boxing and weightlifting are strong; chess and motorsport are noticeable (Grand Prix in Baku).

Sports betting is only allowed with licensed operators - retail and online - with mandatory 18 + identification, cashless payments and KYC/AML procedures.

Limits, self-exclusion and age filters apply; advertising and sponsorship are strictly regulated and unacceptable for audiences under 18 years of age.

To protect the integrity of the competition, monitoring of abnormal bets and work with federations to prevent match fixing are used.
