Land-based casinos

There are no legal land-based casinos in Bangladesh: the legislation does not provide for the issuance of licenses, and hotels and clubs cannot open gaming halls.

Attempts to conduct activities in the "private club" format are qualified as illegal - equipment is confiscated, organizers and participants are held accountable.

There are no tourist "game zones," so the demand partially goes to illegal formats or to neighboring jurisdictions.

The regulatory emphasis is on regular raids, blocking ads and payment channels, as well as preventing addiction and protecting minors.
