From late 2019 to early 2020, Cambodia stopped and banned online gambling: licenses are no longer issued, sites are closed, network and payment locks are applied, raids are carried out against violators.

The regulatory focus is shifted to land casinos and integrated resorts: KYC/AML, control of advertising activity and responsible play are strengthened.

Any offshore sites available to Cambodian users operate outside the local jurisdiction and carry increased risks (freezing funds, lack of complaint mechanisms).

For business in the country, offline formats, travel services and entertainment without a gambling component on the network remain the strategy; for users - an informed attitude to risks and compliance with the national ban.
