In East Timor, there is no legal assortment of casino games: video slots, roulette, baccarat, blackjack, poker and ETG are subject to a general ban.

Only non-standard entertainment is allowed - family/arcade machines, board and card games without bets, as well as cultural and sports activities.

Underground "slot rooms" are identified and closed with confiscation of equipment.

Online "social casinos" without withdrawing money are under scrutiny: any exchange of in-game currency for cash or prizes transfers them to illegal status.

Part of the demand flows to neighboring jurisdictions, but within the country the course remains at zero tolerance for gambling.
