In East Timor, online casinos are banned.

The state suppresses the activities of unlicensed platforms: sites and applications are blocked, financial intermediaries are obliged to refuse transactions, and fines and criminal measures are provided for organizing and participating.

Advertising, affiliate marketing and "mirrors" are also illegal; the use of VPNs does not change the legal assessment.

Only narrow exceptions are allowed in the form of charity or state draws with a separate permit, with restrictions on prizes and advertising.

The priority is to protect users, KYC/AML, and prevent harm from illegal online.
