Land-based casinos
In Iran, land-based casinos are completely prohibited: hotels, clubs and private venues cannot install gaming tables or machines.
Police and cyber units suppress clandestine halls, equipment is confiscated, and organizers and participants face fines and prison terms.
Licensing, age thresholds and other "regulatory" norms do not exist - there is an absolute ban.
The historical heritage of the pre-revolutionary period (until 1979) was liquidated; demand partly flows into overseas tourism to neighbouring jurisdictions where casinos are permitted.
The common vector is zero tolerance and increased control.
