Sports and betting

In Kazakhstan, sports betting is allowed under license and is available in PPP and online from legal bookmakers.

The player undergoes mandatory identification (KYC), transactions and turnovers are recorded through the Unified Betting Center (ECSC), financial monitoring (AML/CTF) is valid.

The age limit for bets is 18 + (for casinos - 21 +).

Advertising and sponsorship are regulated (bans near educational institutions, requirements for warnings), limits and tools for responsible play (self-exclusion/self-restraint) are provided.

Offshore sites are blocked, payments in their favor are suppressed.

Popular markets are football, boxing/MMA, hockey, basketball and esports; for contractual matches and compliance violations, serious sanctions are provided for operators and agents.
