Economics and statistics
The legal gambling sector in Kyrgyzstan is focused on foreign players, so its contribution is in the nature of exporting services: revenues are formed from license fees, taxes from GGR/profit, social contributions, as well as indirect income in the hotel, restaurant and transport business.
The most tangible effect is in tourist locations and large cities, where casinos and licensed bookmakers create jobs, increase hotel/MICE utilization and stimulate related services.
Current trends include an increase in the share of non-cash payments, standardization of reporting, tougher AML/KYC and eKYC integration.
Key risks: gray online, advertising violations and fluctuations in tourist flow; the answer is blocking illegal sites/payments, auditing promotions, increasing compliance requirements and transparency of reporting.
The general vector is accurate growth with the priority of social protection and access control for citizens.
