After a long-term ban, Kyrgyzstan returned the legal gambling sector in the format of strictly licensed activities for foreigners.

Casinos, bookmakers and sweepstakes are allowed only if there is a state license, with capital requirements, video surveillance, technical certification, KYC/AML, 21 + age tolerance and mandatory verification of a foreign passport; citizens and residents are prohibited from playing.

Online casinos for private operators are not allowed, remote bets are possible only from licensed providers with geo and payment locks for local ones.

Advertising and sponsorship are limited, illegal activities are subject to fines, site/payment blockages and license revocation.

The general vector is careful legalization for the sake of tourism and investment with maximum social control.
