In Laos, sports betting for citizens is generally prohibited, so the legal market is limited: in special economic zones and border resorts, offers designed for foreigners can be found, while access to bookmaking is closed for the local population.

The fan's interest is led by football (Euroleague, world tournaments), then - martial arts, volleyball and badminton; part of the demand goes offshore online without local protection of the rights of players.

To monitor the segment, applied metrics are used: the share of football in turnover, live vs prematch, average check and seasonality for major tournaments.

The general vector is the preservation of the restrictive regime and the "removal" of rates outside the main economy.
