The economic effect of the industry is reduced to the costs of the state for law enforcement (cyber blocking, monitoring payments, raids against the underground) and administrative compliance of financial institutions.

Consumer demand partially migrates abroad (game tourism) or goes into the offshore online segment, which does not create internal employment and a multiplier effect.

There are no official statistics on the volume of illegal play; estimates are speculative.

Current trends: increased digital control, tight financial filtering of transactions and zero tolerance priority instead of fiscal monetization.
