Land-based casinos

Tajikistan adheres to a strict "prohibition model": land casinos, gambling halls and offline bookmakers are prohibited, there are no valid licenses and permitted sites.

Supervisory authorities suppress attempts to organize clandestine clubs, equipment is subject to confiscation, fines and other measures of responsibility are provided.

The country's tourism strategy emphasizes cultural heritage and nature over the gambling sector; legalization of offline casinos is unlikely in the foreseeable future.
