Economics and statistics
The gambling sector of Andorra is compact and built into the tourism economy: the main revenue is formed in the terrestrial segment according to the model of limited concessions.
Cash flow consists of gambling margins (tables/slots), concession and licence fees, taxes and associated revenues (F&B, events).
Demand is highly seasonal: winter peaks (ski resorts), secondary surges - during shopping tourism and summer festivals; significant contribution from guests from Spain and France.
Operators' costs are biased towards compliance (KYC/AML, security, reporting), which restrains margins, but maintains high sewerage to the legal segment and guest confidence.
The industry's contribution to employment and service chains is indirectly higher than its share in revenue: casinos pull along hotels, restaurants, transport and the event industry, providing a stable multiplier on a moderate absolute scale.
