Laws and regulation
Liechtenstein regulates gambling on the basis of a national gaming law (Geldspielgesetz, GSG) with direct state supervision.
Land casinos operate under license, are required to comply with 18 +, identity verification (KYC), AML/CTF requirements, technical standards and responsible gaming protocols (limits, information, self-exclusion mechanisms/" Sperre").
Advertising and bonuses are allowed only in moderate form and are subject to control.
Online products are only possible with individual permissions; an independent wide online market has not been formed.
The approach is close to the "Swiss" model: a high level of compliance, transparency of operations and the priority of protecting players with a limited number of licenses.
