The future of the industry

In the foreseeable future, Bahrain will maintain a ban on gambling: licenses for casinos, bookmakers and online gambling are not expected, and blocking and AML/CFT control will increase.

The growth of the industry will follow the entertainment-first trajectory: international sports events, motorsport, festivals, family parks, e-sports and interactive shows without money excitement.

Only "pure" mechanics are allowed - skill contests, quizzes and loyalty without paid entry and accidental winnings.

Brands should focus on partnerships with sports, tourism and technology, build compliance by-default and prepare scenarios for targeted regulatory clarifications in promotional activities - without switching to legal gambling.
