Laws and regulation
In Bahrain, gambling is prohibited by religious and criminal law.
There are no licenses for casinos, bookmakers, poker, sweepstakes and online games; access to gaming sites and applications is blocked by providers.
For organization, advertising and mediation, fines and possible criminal liability are provided; financial transactions with the "gaming" meta fall under the KYC/AML procedures.
Only entertainment activities without an element of excitement are allowed (skill contests, promo without paid entry and randomness).
Brands and venues are advised to completely abandon the gambling component, legal audit any mechanics with prizes and focus on family leisure, sports and cultural projects.
