Land-based casinos
In Jordan, land-based casinos are completely prohibited: the legislation does not provide for licenses for gaming tables and machine rooms, and attempts at clandestine activities are suppressed by law enforcement agencies (closures, confiscations, fines and criminal measures for organizers).
Hotels and clubs cannot host gambling, so age and advertising standards for casinos do not actually apply.
Part of the demand leaves for neighboring countries and resort destinations with legal casinos, but there is no offline infrastructure inside Jordan and its appearance in the foreseeable future is unlikely.
