There is a conservative model in Syria: there are no licenses for casinos, bookmakers, poker and online casinos, any such formats are considered illegal.

The only legal exception is the state lottery, which operates under the supervision of financial authorities.

Domain blocking and suppression of payments in favor of unlicensed operators are used online; advertising and affiliate promotion are prohibited.

Enforcement includes raids and confiscations, fines and prison terms are provided for organizing gambling, and administrative measures are possible for participants.

The general vector is maintaining the ban and strengthening compliance/supervision.
