Laws and regulation
In Yemen, gambling in all forms is prohibited by religious and criminal law.
Licensing of casinos, bookmaking, poker, sweepstakes and lotteries is not provided, there is no specialized regulator.
Online gaming sites and applications are blocked; participation, organization, advertising and mediation bear legal risks (fines, possible imprisonment, confiscation of funds).
Banks and fintech providers prevent "gaming" transactions; offshore sites are generally unavailable or carry a high risk of blockages and loss of funds.
For business and media, a safe strategy is to completely eliminate the gambling component, focusing on sports and entertainment content without betting, promotional mechanics without chance and cash contributions, as well as educational materials and cultural projects.
