Fiji is an archipelago with a vibrant multinational culture, where indigenous iTaukei and the Indian diaspora have formed a unique fusion of languages (Fijian, English, Fijian Hindi), customs and cuisines.

Community ties and respect for chiefs are strong in society; the ceremony of kava (yaqona) and meke dancing remain symbols of hospitality.

Historically, the country's path includes the colonial period and independence in the 1970s, and modern identity is strongly associated with sports - especially with the rugby seven, which has become a national pride and visiting card for tourists.

Society treats entertainment moderately and responsibly: charity draws and cultural events in resort areas are welcomed, while the casino format develops cautiously.

Tourism sets the tone for services and infrastructure, but social norms, preserving traditions and protecting vulnerable groups remain a priority.
