Laws and regulation
The country's key regulator is the National Gaming Control Board (NGCB), which operates under the Gaming Control Act (as amended).
Pub/hotel slot machines, bingo, lotteries and betting/betting are licensed; separate permits, technical certification and internal control requirements are established for each type.
Casino Control Act provides for a model of a limited number of casinos (under a separate concession/agreement), projects are implemented pointwise.
The minimum age is 18 +.
Online casinos for residents are not locally licensed; offers of non-resident sites are considered outside the legal field.
Online betting is only possible through locally licensed operators (if permitted by their license terms).
At the compliance level, KYC/eKYC and AML/CFT (supervision of financial authorities), responsible play measures and advertising restrictions are mandatory.
The fiscal model includes licensing fees, taxes/levies on machines and GGRs, often with targeted deductions for community programs.
For violations, fines, suspension/revocation of the license and confiscation of illegal equipment are provided.
