Laws and regulation
Tuvalu does not have a casino licensing system and betting points - there is a prohibitive approach with limited exceptions for charity and "small" lotteries/draws with local authority permission.
Running games commercially without permission is an offence; the age limit of 18 + and the basic requirements for the transparency of prize money are applied.
There is no specialized gambling regulator: supervision is carried out by relevant departments and the police, and island councils/organizers are responsible for the order of events and reporting.
Online casinos and bookmakers do not receive a separate license in Tuvalu; access to foreign sites remains outside the local jurisdiction and does not provide local consumer protection.
The practical focus of the state is information, control of advertising and payments, compliance with AML/CFT rules and restrictions on the participation of minors.
