Chile's offline sector is based on Law No. 19. 995 (2005), who created the Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego (SCJ) and set the rules for allowing, operating, and controlling casinos; SCJ publishes and maintains a regulatory array (circulars, regulations).
Online for October 2025, a special law has not yet been adopted: the Supreme Court has consistently confirmed that online betting without direct permission is illegal, and ordered to block the sites of unlicensed operators (the first blocking - 23 sites in 2023; new solutions - 2025).
At the same time, the legislative process is moving: August 13, 2025
The Senate approved in general the project regulating online platforms (tax/contribution to sports, etc.), the document continues the detailed stage.
Until the law comes into force, online operators remain outside the "white" field.
