Why Punta del Este is' number one'for VIPs

State casino model. According to Decree-Law No. 14. 335 (Article 20) the state operates the available and necessary halls; operates directly (through Dirección General de Casinos) or under concessions (like large resort facilities).

Rate tax. From August 12, 2025, there is a single rule: Impuesto a las Apuestas (IA) - 0.75% of the amount of each bet (cash/chips/electronic funds). Holds the operator, lists in the DGI; the norm was fixed by Decree No. 167/025, confirmed by the publication of the Presidency and KPMG analytics.

Season: peak - December-March (summer South. hemispheres); in the offseason - more privacy, profitable packages and fewer queues at restaurants.
