How to calculate a vager manually
1) Terms you can't do without
Wager (WR, wagering requirement) - how many times you need to "scroll" the base (bonus/bonus + deposit/FS win/cashback).
Turnover - the amount of bets taken into account in the wagering.
The contribution of the game is the percentage with which the bets on the game are counted in circulation (slots are often 100%, live 0-10%, etc.).
Cap - maximum withdrawal from bonus/freespins.
Max. bet - bet ceiling when wagering (violation usually cancels the bonus).
The order of write-off is how the casino spends money: real → bonus (non-sticky) or "sticky" (sticky).
2) Basic formulas
A. Wager on bonus
Required sales volume = 'Bonus × WR'.
B. Wager on bonus + deposit
Required Sales = '(Bonus + Deposit) × WR'.
C. Wager to win from freespins (FS)
Required turnover = 'Win from FS × WR'.
D. Wager on cashback
Required Sales = 'Cashback Amount × WR'.
Overall progress = sum of effective turnovers for all rates.
3) Step-by-step manual calculation algorithm
1. Determine the base (which is multiplied by WR): bonus/bonus + deposit/FS win/cashback.
2. Multiply by WR → get the total required turnover.
3. Check games contribution and max bet.
4. Count progress: Multiply each bet by the game's contribution and add to "done."
5. Remaining = Required turnover − Completed (cannot be <0).
6. Watch the sar/deadlines: cap will cut the maximum payment; term - when progress "burns out."
4) Practical examples
Example 1. Wager on bonus
Conditions: bonus €100, WR × 30 (for bonus), slots 100%.
Required sales = 100 × 30 = €3,000.
They made bets on slots €840 → progress €840, balance €2,160.
Example 2. Wager on bonus + deposit
Deposit €100, bonus €100, WR × 30 (for the amount of bonus + deposit).
Required sales volume = (100 + 100) × 30 = €6,000.
Example 3. Frispins with a vager
50 FS at €0.20; total winnings €18 credited as a bonus; WR ×25.
Required turnover = 18 × 25 = €450.
If you bet 60% in 100% slots (e.g. €150) and 40% in 10% live games (e.g. €100), effective progress = 150 × 1.00 + 100 × 0.10 = €160.
Balance = 450 − 160 = €290.
Example 4. Cashback with vager and cap
Cashback €40, WR × 10 → requires €400 turnover. Cap for this bonus €250.
Cap does not change the turnover, it will limit the withdrawal amount after the conditions are met.
Example 5. Mixed progress on games
Need €3,000. Per session:- slots - €1,200 (100% contribution) → + €1,200, roulette - €600 (10% contribution) → + €60, blackjack - €400 (0% contribution) → + €0.
- Final progress = 1,200 + 60 = €1,260, balance €1,740.
Example 6. How many spins are needed
The rest of the turnover is €1,600, you plan to rotate the slot 100% at €0.50 per spin.
The required number of spins = 1,600/0.50 = 3,200 spins.
(Check that €0.50 ≤ max rate from T & C.)
Example 7. Max bet violation
If the limit is €5, and you bet €7 with an active bonus, many T & Cs reset the bonus/progress.
This is not a "calculation," but a critical factor - do not exceed the ceiling.
Example 8. Non-sticky vs sticky
Non-sticky: while playing with real money, conclusion is possible without wagering; the bonus is activated when you go to the bonus balance - then the turnover is considered.
Sticky: the bonus "sticks" - you can display it only after performing WR; the turnover calculation scheme is the same, but you cannot display it earlier.
5) Frequent counting questions
How to count if the contribution of games is different?
Separately summarize the effective turnover for each game:- 'Σ (rate _ i × contribution _ i)'.
Do I need to consider RTP games?
To calculate the wager - no. RTP affects the expectation, but not the turnover formula.
And if there are several active bonuses?
Usually they go in turn: first, perform WR of the first (or it will "burn" when the second is activated). Read the casino-specific T&C.
How to count when changing currency/rate?
Currency always results in bonus currency at the casino's domestic rate; the step of rates does not matter - the amount of turnover taking into account the deposit is important.
6) Mini cheat sheet (save)
WR for bonus: 'B × WR'.
WR for bonus + deposit: '(B + D) × WR'.
WR to win FS: 'W _ FS × WR'.
WR to cashback: 'CB × WR'.
Effective progress: 'Σ (Bet × Game contribution%)'.
Remaining: 'Required turnover − Progress (≥ 0)'.
Always check: contribution of games, max bet, cap, timing, order of write-offs.
Manual calculation of the wager is simple arithmetic: determine the base, multiply by WR and honestly take into account the contribution of games to turnover. Further - discipline: do not exceed max bet, monitor cap and deadlines, record progress and balance. Then any bonus is transparent: you understand the volume of the game in advance and avoid unpleasant surprises.
