How to determine your game limit
The game limit is not a "figure from the ceiling," but a pre-calculated amount of free money and time that you are ready to lose entirely without harm to life. The correct limit starts outside the casino (family budget), continues in the operator's settings (deposits/loss/time) and ends with the discipline of the session (stop loss/stop wine and fixed rate).
1) "Availability" formula: how much you can allocate to games at all
Denote:- I - net monthly income (hands).
- E - mandatory expenses (housing, food, transport, communications, medicines, minimum debt payments, children).
- S - savings/reserve and goals (cushion/large purchases/investments).
Discretionary balance: 'D = I − E − S'
Monthly game limit (MGL): 'MGL = D × α', where α = 5-10% for most, 0% for debt/instability/stress.
- Weekly Limit (WGL) ≈ 'MGL/4'
- Daily deposit limit ≈ 'MGL/20 '(or lower)
2) Transfer of the limit to the "bankroll of the period"
Select whether the planning period is a month or a week.
Period bankroll (BK) = 'MGL' (or 'WGL' for weekly scheduling).
Budget per session (SB) = 10-20% of BK.
Stop loss (SL) = SB; stop wines (SW) = 30-50% SB.
3) Rate size: we tie to the bank and volatility
Rules:1. No dogons. The bet does not depend on the result of the previous round.
2. Recalculation of the rate at ± 10% change in BK.
3. On bonuses/vager - reduce the stake by another 20-30% and respect max bet.
4) Limits from the operator: we include "insurance"
Deposit limits: daily/weekly/monthly = no higher than your 'MGL/WGL'.
Loss limit: maximum minus per day/week (for a week - 30-40% BK).
Time limit: 45-60 min per session; Reality check every 30-60 min.
Max. bet: its domestic cap is below the table limit and below the bonus max bet.
Timeouts/self-exclusion: 24-72 hours and long locks - keep "one click."
"Output lock": prohibition of cancellation of payments - protection against impulses.
5) "Time tag": checking the duration of the session
Estimate the expected flow rate using a simple formula:- 'EL ≈ Spins × × Rate (1 − RTP) '
Example: 50 minutes of slots × 8 spins/min = 400 spins. Rate 2 cu., RTP 96% → 'EL ≈ 400 × 2 × 0.04 = 32 cu.'
If EL> SB - shorten the bet/session length or choose a softer game.
6) Numerical examples
Example A (modest budget)
I = 1200, E = 950, S = 100 → `D = 150`.
MGL = D × 5% = 7.5 '→ rounded to 8 cu (or 0 if there are debts).
BK (month) = 8 → it is more reasonable to plan by weeks: WGL = 2 standard units
Game sessions - only demos/minimals; with this D, a pause is safer.
Example B (stable)
I = 2000, E = 1450, S = 250 → `D = 300`.
MGL = 300 × 10% = 30 → BK (month) = 30.
SB = 15% BK = 4.5 → rounded to 4-5; SL = 5, SW = 1,5–2,5.
The game is average → rate 0.5-1% BK = 0.15-0.30.
Example C (with stock)
I = 3500, E = 2200, S = 500 → `D = 800`.
MGL = 800 × 7,5% = 60 → BK = 60.
SB = 6–12; for high-vol - rate 0.2-0.5% BK = 0.12-0.30; weekly losing limit = 18-24.
7) Limit matrix by risk profile
8) Setup checklist (5 minutes)
Money
- Calculated I, E, S, 'D = I − E − S'.
- Defined'MGL/WGL ', BK, SB, SL, SW.
- Operator deposit/loss limits are included.
Betting and gaming
- Volatility selected; rate as% of BK (without "dogon").
- Bonus - reduced bid, max bet and games contribution taken into account.
Time and control
- Timer 45-60 min; two pauses of 5 minutes per hour.
- Reality check enabled; timeout/self-exclusion - "one click."
- "Output lock" is activated.
9) "If-then" scenarios (keep before your eyes)
If SL or SW is reached, then I go out immediately (break 15 minutes; I partially withdraw profit).
If there is an idea to "recoup," then time out 24 hours and close the lobby.
If you want to "raise the rate one time," then the end of the session and − 20% to the base rate tomorrow.
If two bodily markers of stress (pulse/sweat/rush), then a pause of 5-10 minutes.
10) Frequent errors and quick fixes
Set a limit from "I want," not from'D '. → First the budget, then the games.
Move the limit "on the go." → Increase only with a delay of 24-168 hours.
Ignore bonus max bet. → The internal limit is below the bonus limit.
Night marathons. → Day windows only; on the night - "Sprint" or pause.
Feeling rate. → Link to BK and volatility, recalculate at 10% BK ±.
11) 14-day implementation plan
D1-D2: count 'D', set 'MGL/WGL', BK/SB/SL/SW.
D3: enable operator limits, reality check, output lock.
D4-D5: one "Standard" session (45-50 + 10) according to the rules; logging.
D6-D7: Sprint test (25 + 5) for high-vol; Adjust the bid.
D8-D10: checking compliance with the limits, with pulses - a time-out of 24 hours.
D11-D12: with stress signals, reduce the rate by another 20%.
D13-D14: weekly review; adjusting'MGL 'when'D' changes.
Success metrics: 0 SL/SW and max bet violations; compliance with breaks ≥90%; mean emo score ≤3/5.
12) Card on screen (copy)
Rate: ____% of BK (by volatility)
Rules: SL/SW → exit "Recoup" → timeout 24 hours Increasing limits - only with a delay
The personal game limit is built in three steps: we consider "availability" (D) → set the money/time limits (MGL/WGL/BK/SB/SL/SW) → include technical "insurance" and adhere to a fixed volatility rate. This approach does not make the game profitable, but makes it manageable and safe. And always: play only with the money that you are ready to lose, and follow the laws of your jurisdiction.
